Map Actions allow you to interact with the Web Map in a variety of ways. Map Actions are located on the right side of the Map:
1. Drop a pin
This function allows you to drop a pin anywhere on the Map to create a Company or Person record at that location.
To use Drop a pin:
- Open the “Map” page using the top navigation bar
- Tap on the “Pin” icon in the ToolBar
- A blue pin with the MMC logo will appear on the map with a pop-up highlighting the pinned address and latitude/longitude coordinates

Drag the blue pin to the desired address location - address information can always be updated after the creation as needed. Select the blue “create” button and choose whether you are creating a Company or Person record
- Add the appropriate record details in the pop-up that appears and hit “Create Company” to add this record to the Map and into your MMC records list.
2. Searching for New Leads
Lead Finder allows you to search for new prospects based on keyword searches. For example: searching for ‘Hospital” will display on the map all hospitals nearby.
To access Lead Finder:
- Open the “Map” page using the top navigation bar

Tap on the magnifying glass icon in the ToolBar
Note: Lead Finder can also be accessed from the Lead Finder button in the top right corner of the Map
- A pop-up modal will appear prompting you to type a keyword (ex: Hospitals)

The pop-up will also include a drop-down to specify the search location as:
a. Your current map view - the area presently in view on your map
b. Your current location - your current physical geolocation if being shared via your browser
c. A specific Company or Person - if there is a specific record you would like to run the search around
d. A specific address - if you would like to search for a location that you are not currently located in
- Once the search is run, Lead Finder results will appear on the map as a white bubble pin fitting the search word and location criteria specified. Leads can be selected from the Map or the List View on the right side of the screen to be added to your records

3. The Lasso Tool
You can use this feature to select multiple records by drawing and circling records on the Map.
To use The Lasso Tool:
- Open the “Map” page using the top navigation bar

Tap on the “Lasso” icon in the ToolBar
- Draw a circle around the records you want to select
Once the perimeter is drawn, you can:
- View a list of the selected records on the right side of the screen
- Bulk edit standard or custom fields of the selected records
- Add or remove selected records from a Group(s)
- Add or remove selected records from a Route(s)
- Send a Bulk Email to the selected records
- Delete selected records in bulk
To remove a record from your lasso selection, use the red circle icon in the upper right corner of the record you would like to remove via the List View or use the "Remove from selection" quick action button:
4. Screenshot the Map
Take a Screenshot of your Map to share with your team or print for offline viewing.
To take a screenshot:
- Open the “Map” page using the top navigation bar
- Center the map screen to what you would like to capture in the screenshot. Tap on the camera icon in the ToolBar
- This will capture a photo of your current map configuration. The screenshot will appear as a .png download at the top of the screen (dependent on browser/download settings)
5. Go to Location
Quickly zoom the map into a location of your choice
To go to a specified location:
- Open the “Map” page using the top navigation bar
- Tap on the Map icon in the ToolBar

Search the location you would like the Map to adjust to and select "Go"
The Map will the center itself automatically around the selected location
6. The Find Me Button
The button allows you to quickly center the map around your current location as you are navigating around the map
To use the Find Me button :
- Open the “Map” page using the top navigation bar
- Tap on the arrow icon in the bottom right corner of the Map page
- If you are sharing your location with your web browser, the map will then center itself around your current location

7. To change the Basemap :
- Open the “Map” page using the top navigation bar
- Tap on the Map icon in the bottom right corner of the Map page
- A pop up will appear allowing you to to select the desired basemap including options such as “Muted” (to reduce backgrounds noise) or “Satellite” (to create an photo aerial view of the map)
