Import Sample File

If you’re new to our import process or want to get some practice with sample data, please download our sample spreadsheet for Excel or Google Sheets.

To open and modify the sample file in Microsoft Excel:

• Download as .xlsx

To open and modify the sample file in Google Sheets:

• Open in Google Sheets
• Click File > Make a Copy to save an editable copy to your Google Drive

The columns in the sample spreadsheet are color-coded, and provide descriptions of the different fields as well as if certain fields are required for mapping (geocoding) to work properly.

You can populate your own data into this spreadsheet, or use it to gain insight regarding where to map the different Map My Customers fields in your own spreadsheet's columns.

Keep in mind that you'll need to save this spreadsheet as a CSV file (the file will end with .csv after you save it from Excel or Google Sheets) to import into Map My Customers.
