Create Routes from Map Tab

When building Routes from the MMC Web application - some users are more comfortable navigating the Map tab and would like to build Routes directly from this page. Building Routes from the Map allows you to take advantage of Saved Filters and Pin Colorization users may be familiar utilizing on the Mobile app or on the Map itself. 

When building a Route from the Map tab - using the Lasso allows for targeting a geographic area or a chunk of records in bulk

To create a new Route from the Map page via Lasso:

1. Click on "Map" at the top Navigation Menu
2. Select the Lasso tool from the Map Actions
   
   
   
3. Using the Lasso tool - drag your mouse to circle the pins on the map you would like to include in your Route
   • Tip: Click pins on the Map outside of the Lasso once it has been drawn to add them to the Lasso selection or use the “Remove from selection” button to take any undesired records out of the drawn Lasso
     
     
     
4. In the upper left corner of the Map - select “Add / Remove” > “Add to / Remove from Routes”
   
   
   
5. Within the pop up - choose whether you would like to add these records to an existing Route or if you would like to start creating a new Route
   • Within this pop up you will also have the ability to bulk remove stops from a Route if you would like to
     
     
     
6. If building a new Route - fill out the appropriate Route Details such as the
   • Name - If you would like to rerun Routes in the future, we recommend naming the Route in a way that can be identified again i.e. NYC Top Accounts Route 
   • Visit Order - Optimize will provide the most efficient way to hit all the selected stops, In Order will allow you to manually choose how to structure your stops
   • Start Date and Time - When you plan to run this Route (this can be adjusted after creation) 
   • Time allotted for each stop - Estimated duration of each stop, each stop can be adjusted to differing lengths after the creation of the Route
     
     
     
7. Select the blue “Create Route” button then the blue “Apply” button on the following pop up

The Route will now be created and visible within the Web Routes tab, the Mobile Routes tab or any other access point for Route information on a record. 

When building a Route from the Map tab - users may want to pick and choose specific records to add into a Route 

To create a new Route from the Map page via selecting specific records:

1. Click on "Map" at the top Navigation Menu
2. Select the pin on the map you would like to add into the Route 
3. Using the Quick Actions - select the “Add to Route” option 
   • Note: If you are not seeing the “Add to Route” Quick Action, select the ellipsis (...) to access additional Quick Actions. If you are not seeing Quick Actions on your Pin Preview - update the Pinned Field view here.
   • Alternatively - add individual records via the Routes section of the Relationships tab of the Company Record View
     
     
     
4. Select whether you will be adding this record to an existing Route or creating a new Route
   
   
   
5. If you are creating a new Route - fill out the appropriate Route Details such as Name, Start Date and Time, Time per stop and more. Select the blue “Create Route” button then the blue “Apply” button on the following pop up

6. Repeat steps 2-4 as needed to continue picking and adding records into the Route
