Your web browser will ask you to give Map My Customers permission to access your location. Granting location access to the Map My Customers web app is very important as it helps you do the following:
- Zoom and load the map to the correct location
- Auto-fill your location when manually adding new records
- Filter by radius for nearby records
Note: Google Chrome is our recommended web browser for the best possible experience
In this section we’ll cover 2 ways to make sure location access is granted to Map My Customers:
- Granting Location Access on a Mac
- Granting Location Access on a PC
Granting Location Access (Mac)
1. The first way to grant location access is by clicking the pin icon in the top right or your URL bar and selecting “Continue allowing this site to access your location”
2. The second way to grant location access is by clicking the padlock icon in the top left of your URL bar and selecting “Location: Allow”
3. The third and final way to grant location access is by ensuring that your web browser has rights to access geolocation in your computer’s settings. On a Mac this is done by visiting the “Security & Privacy” section of the System Preferences, and then making sure the web browser has been checked “on” to enable Location Services.
4. If all else fails, please try restarting your web browser.
Granting Location Access (PC)
1. From the Start or Windows button CLICK on “Settings”
2. From the Settings Screen, CLICK on “Privacy”
3. From the Privacy screen, CLICK on “Location” located in the left panel
4. From the Location screen, CLICK on the “Change” button
5. Use the toggle button to enable location access on this device
