The Forecast View allows you to see how much revenue you can expect to bring in across one or multiple of your funnels split up by month or quarter.
To access Forecast View:
- Click on “Records” in the Navigation Bar.
- Click the “Funnels/Deals” page from the dropdown menu
- At the top of the page - click on the third icon (the graph icon) to access Forecast View
Layout
The Forecast view is laid out in a board format. The Deals are grouped by default into which month (or quarter) their closing date falls into. This allows you to get an idea of how much revenue you can expect to bring in for each month.
On the far left side of the columns - older Deals with a past due date will be default hidden. Deals with no associated Closing Date will appear in the second column "No closing date"
At the top of the board, you’ll see both the total open amount and the adjusted amount for the selected funnels
- Total Open Amount is the aggregate monetary amount of all deals in the selected funnel(s)
- Total Adjusted Amount is calculated as the total revenue of all your deals multiplied by the probability of close attached to the stage the Deals are in
You will also find these amounts for each time period at the top of each column
At the top of each column, click on the ellipsis for additional actions:
- Hide individual columns
- Download just the deals in the specific time period
You can also export the entire page by clicking the download icon in the top right
Viewing & Editing Deals
All of your Deals show up conveniently as individual cards in their appropriate months or quarters (columns) on the board. To open a Deal, just click on a single card.
To move it easily to a different column you can drag and drop the card to the stage of your choosing. Note, you will have to assign a new close date when changing columns.
Creating a new deal in a specific column is as easy as clicking on the “+ Add Deal” button at the very bottom of each column.
Filtering & Sorting Deals
To filter and sort deals on your board you have a couple of options.
To sort Deal columns:
- Click the sort button in near the top middle of your screen (Default is "Date Last Modified")
- Select a sort criteria (Closing Date, Date Created, Date Last Modified, Amount, Days in Stage)
- Select a sort direction (Such as Most Recent or Least Recent)
To change columns from monthly to quarterly, you can do so from the “View by” dropdown.
To Filter by user or Deal funnel, use the quick drop downs at the top right of your screen.
To Filter by other fields, including custom fields or Relationships, use the filter button in the top left of your screen
