Calendar Sync

Calendar Sync allows you to connect your external calendars with your Map My Customers calendar and customize what information is sent or received. It enables you to automatically send Map My Customers activities to your calendar and see your external calendar events as activities in Map My Customers.

To sync your calendar:

1. Tap “Home” from the Navigation menu
2. Go to the Profile icon at the top right corner of your screen (represented by your initials or a profile photo if you have set one up)
3. Select "Settings" from the menu that appears
4. Open the Calendar sync drop-down menu
5. Tap “Start Syncing”
   
   
   
   
6. Enter the email address you would like to sync your activities with.
   
   We currently support the following email platforms: Gmail, Exchange, Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, Apple, Yahoo, and AOL. External email platforms could have settings or securities in place to prevent access. Please work with your email administrator to understand email connectivity options for your organization.
   
   
7. If you have multiple emails associated with your device, select the email that is connected to the calendar you would like to sync 
   
8. Enter your password and tap “Next”
   
9. Follow the steps in case you have 2-Step verification with your email address
10. Check on Privacy policy and Terms of service before confirming access and permissions to your email account
    
    
11. Once access is allowed, you will now select the MMC Activity types you would like to sync to your external calendar (ex: only Visits, Meetings, and Calls but don’t sync any other activity types). Tap Done to confirm Activity Types
    
     
    
    
12. Determine the desired sync direction of MMC -> External Calendar, External Calendar -> MMC or bi-directional
    
    
    Note: When choosing sync direction - consider that ALL Activities on the external calendar (whether that is internal meetings or a dentist appointment you put on the calendar) will sync to MMC if you choose Calendar to MMC or Two-way Sync
13. Choose which Activities to sync whether it is only Activities assigned to yourself, only Activities that you own (create) or both
    
    
14. Choose whether or not to sync recurring Activities and whether MMC Activity Notes should sync to the external calendar event 
    
15. Tap “Save Sync Preferences” to finalize the Calendar Sync set up
